Major Gifts Officer
Array, Function: Fundraise for Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) by building and strengthening relationships and connecting passions and interests to funding opportunities with individual, corporate and foundation donors in the $5,000+ annual gift category. Meet Development incentive plan objectives. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: • Collaborate on developing and executing strategic fundraising initiatives that will attract donors to contribute to the expansion campaign for the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) market. • Make 75-100 weekly contacts with current and prospective donors through phone, email and face-to-face meetings (minimum of 4 face-to-face meetings/week). • Create individual goals for each donor based on donor giving history, interests, passions and values. • Create and execute a plan for each donor that will serve as a communication/marketing plan to retain and upgrade the donor. • Secure sponsorships for regional events, e.g. Gala or assigned MobilePack events. • Maintain accurate donor/prospect information in donor database. • Collaborate on other strategic fundraising initiatives with Development team. • Conduct special projects and perform other duties as assigned. Required Experience & Qualifications: • Commitment to support, promote and authentically communicate FMSC’s Christian mission and goals. • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in development or high volume sales to include a minimum of 5 years in major/mega fundraising development or sales. • Proven track record of successful fundraising, including demonstrated ability to meet or exceed fundraising or sales goals, increase individual donations and do the “ask” and “close” with donors and prospects.
