Be Smart: Sail Past the Hazards of Conventional Career Advice by Paula Asinof, Mina Brown

248 Pages (Paperback or Kindle)

Publisher: CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform (June 5, 2013)

This book helped me realize that a lot of the career advice I've been getting about how to "stand out" as a job candidate is just plain obsolete or even worse, wrong. The chapters are concise and well organized, so it's easy to just pick up and "snack" on a topic of interest. I'm no expert, but this book left me feeling like one. Not only does it survey the current landscape of career advice, but it often turns that advice on its head or explains how the modern world has transformed it. Easily 5 stars. P.
